These Terms of Service (the "Terms" or "End-User License Agreement", "EULA") govern your use of the Petlore mobile application (the "App"), provided by Giorgio Carioni ("we", "the provider"). By using the App you fully accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the App.
1. Description of the service
Petlore is an AI-based informational assistant that helps you organise information and routines about your pet (health diary, prevention reminders, supply tracking, summary documents and personalised answers). The App is not a medical device, is not a veterinary tool and does not provide diagnoses.
2. Account and eligibility
- To use the App you must create an account with a valid email address.
- You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age required by the law of your country to consent to data processing.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity carried out through your account.
3. Auto-renewable subscriptions
The App offers advanced features through paid auto-renewable subscriptions:
- Petlore Plus — €4.99/month: unlimited messages, full persistent memory of your pet, health timeline, prevention and due-date reminders, food supply forecasting and PDF vet reports.
The Free plan lets you use the App with a limited number of messages per day, at no cost and with no auto-renewal.
Subscription terms:
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription automatically renews at the same price and for the same duration unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- The renewal charge is applied within the 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings (App Store > your name > Subscriptions).
- Prices may vary by country and are shown in the App before purchase.
4. Refunds
Purchases made through the App Store are handled by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple in accordance with its policies (reportaproblem.apple.com). We do not process payments directly and cannot issue refunds independently.
5. Veterinary disclaimer — no medical advice
Petlore does not provide veterinary advice, diagnosis or treatment. Content generated by the App, including AI answers, is provided for informational and organisational purposes only and does not replace the opinion of a qualified veterinarian in any way.
In an emergency or for any concern about your pet's health, contact a veterinarian immediately. Do not delay or disregard professional advice because of information received through the App.
6. Limitation of liability for AI answers
- Answers are generated by an artificial intelligence model and may contain errors, inaccuracies or incomplete or outdated information.
- Always verify relevant information with a qualified professional before making decisions affecting your pet's health or wellbeing.
- To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the provider is not liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from reliance on AI-generated content.
- The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of error-free or uninterrupted operation.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the App for unlawful purposes, not to attempt to circumvent its technical or security limits, not to submit illegal or harmful content, and not to use the App in a way that impairs its operation for other users.
8. Intellectual property
The App, its software, trademarks and original content are owned by the provider or its licensors and are protected by copyright law. The data you enter about your pet remains yours.
9. Privacy
The processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the App in case of breach of these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account and related data from the App settings.
11. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms over time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or this page. Continued use of the App after changes are published constitutes acceptance of them.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Italian law. For consumers, the mandatory provisions and jurisdiction set out by consumer-protection legislation continue to apply.
